This mixed media painting was inspired by one of my favorite flowers—the rose. I have always loved red roses, while turquoise and teal are among my favorite colors, so I wanted to bring these colors together in a piece that felt both vibrant and peaceful.
 
Flowers are often given as an expression of love, and this painting represents a simple desire of my heart: to create something beautiful that reflects the gift of love. The rose can remind us that love is one of the most beautiful gifts we can give and receive.
