This mixed-media painting represents a moment of turning toward the light—the light of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. The water symbolizes purification, renewal, and the cleansing work that God desires to do within us. The girl looking toward the sunlight represents our choice to turn our hearts and eyes toward Jesus, allowing His presence to lead us from darkness into light and from brokenness into renewal.
Just as water washes and refreshes us, Christ renews our hearts and gives us new life. When we turn toward Him, we discover that the One who created us is also the One who can cleanse, restore, and make us new. Turn your eyes toward Jesus. Let Him wash away what weighs you down and renew what has become weary. Keep looking toward the Son—there is new life, hope, and light in Him.
