• God is With Us • Art by Diana Castillo • Mixed media on canvas • Mediums: acrylic, modeling paste, gels, mica flakes, glitter, Swarovski crystals • 20"x24" This was the first painting I created when I heard God clearly speak to me “Paint, Paint, Paint! I want you to Paint! I was without a job, I was looking for work and all I could do was wait for calls. I didn’t even know how I was going to make it. During prayer when I doubted, He revealed to me, that this is His gift and why would His gift not prosper? Immediately, I picked up the brush and got to work. When I first started sketching this I knew it would be such a beautiful and precious piece. I felt it in my heart. All I could think of is how good God is!!! I prayed and cried as I painted this beautiful image. This is a painting of my reflection in God. My Heavenly Father is my creator and provider. He's been with my son and I. We've been through really hard times and God continues to watch over us. God has never left my side. When I told Him it was too hard, He lifted the weight off my shoulders. He whispered "rest" when I was stressing and "almost there" when I wanted to give up. A single mother's struggle is only our problem until we lift them up to God. Let God handle your problems, single mother! May God continue blessing you!
